The wonders of wool: Oriental Rugs are usually made of wool and therefore are easily and economically maintained. Wool is extremely durable, and, unlike other fibers, it is much more resilient, cleans better and stays clean longer.

Rotation: To insure even wear; your rug should be rotated once a year. Depending on the traffic, the rotation may vary from six months to two years.
Vacuuming: Oriental rugs, like most carpeting, should be vacuumed on a regular basis to remove dirt and restore life to the fibers. The beater brush can be used on the pile but be sure not to vacuum the fringe. The most common repair is restoring ripped fringe
Padding: A quality pad used under your rug helps protect it from dirt, wear, and slippage. Different surfaces require different types of padding: from hardwood floors, to wall-to-wall carpeting. The size and location of your rug can also warrant different types of padding, ranging from synthetic fiber, to rubber mesh, or non-skid rubber backed felt padding called Durahold. Restoration: In case of damage, just about any problem has a solution with a professional restoration. Our master weaver has been working with oriental rugs for over thirty years. Old and antique rugs sometimes require reweaving to restore worn areas. Newer rugs are rarely in need of repair.
Stains: There is no general solution to remove stains. Depending upon the cause of the stain, any of several cleaning options may be the best choice. If your rug gets stained, contact us immediatly and we will help you deciede on the appropriate course of action.
